Before........My old rugs don't really go with the new color on the walls in my entryway. I wanted new ones, but I only purchased these about 10 months ago. Since rugs are so cheap (I wish!) I knew I needed to come up with another plan! So to blog-land I went and found that some people had painted their rugs. Anyone who has seen my garage knows that I could take stock in Glidden and Behr paint, so this project was FREE.99! Love that price tag!
I taped off the areas I wanted to paint.
This is during. I used the same paint that I used on the walls. Light French Grey and White. I started with just cheap sponge brushes but that was more work than worth it. The brushes broke down really fast because of the texture of the carpet. So I switched to a regular painting brush and things went much better.

I painted both rugs with this process. And I love how they turned out! I only did one coat of each color. So I will let you know how they stand up to the traffic. But now they match and it was free!
